Orson Welles made his masterpiece, “Citizen Kane,” at twenty-five. Herman Melville wrote a book a year through his late twenties, culminating, at age thirty-two, with “Moby-Dick.” Mozart wrote his breakthrough Piano Concerto No. 9 in E-Flat-Major at the age of twenty-one.

Today we enter the world of a YouTube celebrity. If you?re an avid user of the popular video sharing site, chances are you?ve encountered the videos of Magibon ? those big eyes and tiny face looking up at the camera, sometimes with a message, often with none. Surprising even her, the videos garnered millions of views, most of them from Japan, which lead this American 22-year-old to start learning ? and using ? Japanese, without leaving her bedroom in the state of Pennsylvania. PingMag catches up with Magibon during a recent visit to Tokyo, to find out what it takes to make it big on YouTube.

Ése fue el tema del séptimo podcast de Enredados, en el que participé junto con Héctor Milla. Héctor Milla realiza el mejor videoblog en español, el excelente Balzac.tv. No puede expresar adecuadamente el honor que siento que por mi Elpulpo.tv me llevasen a hablar junto a él.

Hablamos de muchos temas. Pero hay dos cosas que me gustaría recordar. Primero, que me encanta la diversidad del videoblogging actual y que espero que no cambie. Segundo, que el videoblog en ocasiones mira en exceso al cine y la televisión, cuando hay otros muchos campos interesantes.

En la disputa sobre la película basada en Watchmen, el primer juez ha dicho que Fox tiene razón. Parece que a partir de ahora sólo queda una larga batalla legal o un intercambio de millones.
